Neal has been with VIP Realty since the week it became a Coldwell Banker affiliate in 1985, after retiring as an office manager for RJ Reynolds. He is a graduate of Danville High School and Centre College. He is a former United States Marine and state chaplain of the Marine Corps League. He has been active in the Boy Scouts of America and Habitat for Humanity, and he has been a deacon and elder of the Danville Presbyterian church.

Neal is the father of two and grandfather of five, and has been married to his wife Joyce for over 49 years.
